The Study of Precious Essences
Every substance in the pearl, named and explained — as it is engraved inside the lid of every tin.

ONE PEARL, THE WHOLE FORMULA
The membrane vanishes. The care remains.
A water-soluble membrane holding a fine-fragrance detergent: plant-derived cleansing agents that lift dirt from the fibre, three natural enzymes that handle protein, starch and oil, vegetable glycerin to keep the cloth supple — and the composed essence of the house. One pearl cleans and perfumes in a single gesture. No measuring, no second bottle of softener.
THE FORMULA, LINE BY LINE
Ingredients & what they do
97% of natural origin. The complete INCI list appears on every tin.
Aqua (Water)
The base that carries and blends every other substance.
Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVOH)
The water-soluble membrane of the pearl. It dissolves completely in the wash, leaving nothing behind.
Plant-derived cleansing agents (Coco-Glucoside, Lauryl Glucoside)
Gentle, biodegradable surfactants from coconut and plant sugars that lift dirt and oil from the fibre.
Glycerin (vegetable)
Plant-derived humectant that keeps fibres supple and soft.
Protease
A natural enzyme that targets protein stains — the specialist for collars and cuffs.
Amylase
A plant enzyme that breaks down starchy stains at low temperature.
Lipase
The enzyme that handles fats and oils, so the wash can stay cool and gentle.
Sodium Citrate
A salt of citrus fruit that softens hard water and lets the cleansing agents work fully.
Citric Acid
A fruit-derived chelating agent that binds minerals and brightens naturally — no optical tricks.
Sodium Benzoate
A preservative found naturally in fruit, keeping the formula stable in a minimal dose.
Parfum (the composed essence)
The house's fine-fragrance composition — pure essential oils and noble materials, built on base notes that cling to fibre. Dermatologically tested, free of phthalates and parabens. Allergens listed below, by scent.

MADE FOR DELICATES
Gentle on silk. Serious about stains.
Dermatologically tested and free of the usual irritants — no SLS or SLES, no optical brighteners, no chlorine, no dyes. Suitable for sensitive skin, baby clothing and silk. The formula was composed for delicates from the start, not adapted to them afterwards; and with no phosphates or chlorine, it is safe for septic systems too.
NATURE, DECLARED
Allergens & their sources
These fragrance allergens are naturally occurring scent molecules — the very ones that make flowers, citrus peels and woods smell beautiful. A few people are sensitive to them, as some are to peanuts. We list every one, by essence, for transparency.

GOOD QUESTIONS
Questions of substance
Is the formula really 97% natural origin?+
Yes. The cleansing agents are plant-derived and biodegradable, the glycerin is vegetable, the enzymes are natural proteins, and the essences are built on pure essential oils. The remaining fraction exists for stability and safety — and is named above, not hidden.
Is it safe for sensitive skin, babies and silk?+
The formula is dermatologically tested and free of the usual irritants — SLS, SLES, optical brighteners, chlorine, parabens, dyes. It suits sensitive skin, baby clothing and silk. Anyone highly allergic to perfumes should consult the allergen table above or write to care@davyn1371.com before use.
What are enzymes and why do you use three?+
Enzymes are natural proteins that act as specialists: protease breaks down protein stains, amylase handles starches, lipase dissolves fats. They work at the molecular level from 86°F (30°C) — which is why the pearl cleans thoroughly on cool, fabric-friendly cycles.
Why no optical brighteners? My whites matter.+
Optical brighteners do not clean — they are fluorescent dyes that coat the fibre to fake whiteness under daylight, and they can irritate skin. The house prefers real cleanliness: plant surfactants, enzymes, and citric acid that brightens by removing mineral dullness rather than painting over it.
What does “Parfum” hide?+
In most products, everything. Here, as little as the law of perfumery allows: the composition itself is the house's signature and stays in the atelier, but every regulated allergen it contains is listed above by scent, its materials are phthalate-free and paraben-free, and the full INCI is printed on every tin. Transparency is a courtesy we extend before you ask.
Is the pearl safe for septic systems and all machines?+
Yes. No phosphates, no chlorine — nothing that harms a septic system. The membrane dissolves fully, and the pearl works in every machine: HE, front-load, top-load, from 86°F (30°C).
